The PRODOC, or Project Document from 2015 contains the investments for the Readiness phase of REDD+. In total, an amount of USD 3.8 million is available to make Suriname REDD+ Ready.
The finances are divided upon the three different pillars of the REDD+ program in Suriname.
Pillar I concerns the strengthening of human capacities and institutions to manage REDD+, and stakeholder engagement.
Pillar II is about all activities concerned with finalizing a national REDD+ strategy.
And Pillar III focuses at all activities which will be involved when implementing REDD+, for example forest coverage monitoring, emissions levels, et cetera.
